For more than 37 years, the Center for Family Resources has been providing children & their families with food for Thanksgiving and additional food resources for the week kids are home from school. We believe Thanksgiving is more than a meal, it is an opportunity for families to create memories and continue family traditions.
The giving doesn’t stop once the boxes are distributed during Thanks for Giving! After a powerful week of feeding families for Thanksgiving, it’s time for The Encore. We’re bringing the leftover food donations back to our Choice Pantry—and we need your help to finish strong.
Volunteers are needed to:
Unload the truck
Sort and organize food donations
Conduct quality control checks
Stock pantry shelves
Store remaining food for future use
Join us as we keep the spirit of giving alive and ensure that nothing goes to waste. Your helping hands make all the difference!
** Minimum age requirement is 14 to volunteer (14–17-year-olds must have a guardian present). Must be able to stand for periods of time and lift heavy food boxes frequently**

In Support of The Center for Family Resources
We are a Cobb County-based organization that works exclusively to serve local children and their families that are either homeless or in danger of becoming homeless. We provide tailored, long term supportive services to our clients. Our vision is for children and their families to experience improved stability through reduced homelessness, empowerment, and pathways that support their success.
